A group of students from grade 7-8 attended an Activate conference on global food issues last fall. Part of what we discussed was how to take this info back to our schools. The group from YCS decided to create more awareness regarding food issues along with raising funds for the Salvation Army Food Bank. So we have planned a popcorn sale for May 17th during the lunch period. We plan to sell popcorn in the student centre, as well as a cart will come around to the lower grade classes. We plan to sell the kindergarten class the next day and any left overs to others.
Could you please send a note home stating the popcorn sale – $2.00 a bag, on May 17th – funds going to the Salvation Army.
Mentorship meeting tomorrow at dinner for all mentors.
Royal Birthday Greetings today go out to Jonathon.
